ElementBook
Application and Users

Blind and VI students, teachers, and chemists will use the ElementBook to always have a quick reference to the relative positions of elements as ubiquitously portrayed for their sighted peers.

In the process

Studying chemistry requires locating proximal relationships among elements quickly and accurately to keep up with lessons.

Printed periodic tables and found in books and multiple wall charts in all science classrooms - invisible to the blind.

As part of Middle School to College curriculum, where the chemical element system is coupled with the Periodic Law, the ElementBook's knowledge of the relative location of all the elements is a basic requirement.

Current Braille periodic tables are expensive and cumbersome, with gaps and breaks in the sequence of elements and blocks of elements - difficult for the blind student/chemist to bridge - making them unavailable when needed by the individual almost every time they are necessary.

The Brailled element data ElementBook permits user-friendly access to this information, which the sighted peers are virtually surrounded.
